A window in the shape of a crucifix, constructed of narrow 4-inch glass strips, angles from the bottom right third of the image and extends to the top where it intersects at the center edge. The window’s glass is set several inches back into the red stucco wall, such that we only see the dark shadows of the cross in the window, due to the angle of the sun. In the lower third of the image, we see another shadow of a crucifix mounted somewhere in the church’s front lawn. The cross-shadow points toward the upper center of the photo. Two cross-shadows angled onto a bright red wall in the morning sun.

During an early morning photo walkabout in Huatulco, Mexico, I found a red church in full sun, with a shadow of the cross in the front of the church in close juxtaposition to the cross shaped window.  For Christian cross lovers (as opposed to Christopher Cross lovers).  Image taken while cruising Mexico in our sailboat 2000.
