We rented a car in Guatemala City and drove to the city of Antigua and the surrounding area, including Chichicastenango. I titled this “Mayan Spirits” not only because of the Mayan stories and themes embedded into this wonderfully colorful embroidery—but also because you can almost feel the ancestral spirits everywhere in this magical country.
