  • This landscape portrait of a chef in San Salvador, El Salvador, shows him in a double-breasted, white chef’s uniform. He is a young, handsome El Salvadoran man in his late twenties. He faces the camera directly. In the bottom of the frame, we see his torso just above his elbows. His right shoulder is positioned just below center in the image. He leans to his left, such that his face is in the right 1/3 of the frame. He wears a 2-foot-high white chef’s hat that leans upward and to the right at a 25-degree angle.     I don't remember the name of the restaurant in San Salvador (El Salvador) where I met this chef, but I had to take a shot of him and his chef's hat.  As you can see, his chef's hat takes half the vertical space of the frame.  Found this wonderful background of foliage in the back parking lot.  Image taken while cruising Central America in our sailboat 2000-2001.
