Inside the lavender border is a black rectangular border. Inside the black border is a yellow rectangular border. Inside the yellow rectangular border, we see a gradient background—from solid yellow at the top to a solid red ocean with whitecaps at the bottom. The yellow-red background provides a backdrop to the orange sails bending in the wind. A brown varnished wooden banister, reflecting deep orange tones from the adjacent walls, reaches from the lower left bottom of the image to the top left, just in front of the landing.$

This was actually the stairway to the locker rooms at the Acapulco Yacht Club. But 'Stairway to Heaven' sounds a bit more evocative. Every morning, light flooded the top of the stairs, amplifying the orange walls and carpet. Love those Mexican colors. Image made while cruising Mexico in our sailboat 2000.
